I was in the middle of the chapter in my new book about giant carnivorous slugs (they are so neat!) when Lucy called me to come in to work. I was worried at first because it was not a normal work day but I headed down to the Secret Spot where I always access from. When I went through, I saw that for some crazy reasom Diiman was there!! I was very embarassed when he started talking to me but I got over it when I saw the little pixie he had with him. Her name is Ceelie and she is just so cute. Anyways, it is really neat to know that Diiman also works at TOA. I just saw Big Shiny Guns 3 the other day and it was fun to watch, though I didn't like that there was so much swearing by that one bad guy.

So anyways it turns out that all three of us (including the little Ceelie!) are being put on some kind of adventure team together. The other members are a... girl? Well, a shapeshifter (I think she is a doppelganger) named Viveka who I thought was scary at first, but actually she's pretty nice. And there's also Lily, who is good with computers but very mean. I will do my best to like her though since we will all have to work together, but she does not make it easy!! We had a sixth team member also, but he was in China so we had to go retrieve him. Zii said he would open us a gate to a spot near where the new guy was, so we wouldn't have to fly or anything. None of us were too excited about it except Diiman and I guess Ceelie a little bit. But I should help TOA as best I can, because that's the good thing to do. Even if it means working with people who... well they aren't evil or anything but they're not very virtuous either, except for Ceelie and sometimes Diiman.

So we went to China! Lucy was acting very strangely before we left, but I will ask her about it later. In China we found that a lot of people spoke English, and everyone there knew Diiman because he starred in that one film with Blazing Fury, who is very well known there. Everyone was paying attention to him, which was nice. Viveka did not like the crowds either, and she even seemed to be a little sick from them. Luckily the monastery was only a few miles away, outside the city (a helpful businessman told us after Diiman said he could be in his next movie). The area is very pretty, and there were so many spots of magic in the people and things they were selling, and in the woods too. I think there must have been a lot of Nu'mair around, making sure we weren't doing anything bad. Lily was grouchy because there wasn't any technology but I thought it was very soothing.

Dii got ahead of us as we approached the monastery and started taking pictures. Suddenly I knew there was danger coming, like I do sometimes, and saw he was being attacked by a monk! He wasn't a demon or anything though, and it turned out he was just a fan of Dii's movies. Whew!

We were taken to the Master of the Monastery, who was a rain Nu'mair. So pretty! Dii was on his good behavior and even took the battery out of his phone to be respectful. Lily mostly pouted but at least was not too rude. The Master showed up where the cave was where our new team member was practicing writing. We went up to talk to him and were amazed to find that he is a part-dragon! His scales were very lovely. It seems that he has some trouble controlling his strength, and that is why he came to the monastery. He is very polite and well spoken but a little uncomfortable talking about himself. I accidentally offended him about this before I realized and was so embarassed, but he was nice about it.

It was very late at that point with time zones and all so we decided to rest before heading back. I actually fell asleep in my book, oops. Then in the morning we headed back into town with Li (that is his name!) and Diiman distracted everyone by signing autographs. They all assumed Li was in his new movie and were excited to be at the sneak peek premier. Sigh...

So we went back through the gate and reported back to Zii. Li was a little confused by everything but he agreed to join our team. All in all it was a completely successful mission, and no one even got hurt except Diiman when he got jumpkicked in the head. But that was because he wasn't paying attention (and no pictures!). Also now I have Diiman's telephone number. No one will ever believe that one! :) He is awfully cute but not very smart. Maybe I can invite Ceelie over some time and we can watch movies or get something to eat. Mark says I need to make more friends.

Tara's Diary

Dear Diary,

Today I went on my very first mission! Well, I guess it really started yesterday, but we just got back today, so that was when I wrote it all down.

Until Next Time,

Tara
