Last Chapter

  • In Dahn Gohben, rested and gathered intel about how to move on to Bahl Lok, city of the dwarves (arrive Dahn Goben 26 Blessing Moon, leave morning of 27 Blessing)
    • Ezel learned that the dwarves are very insular and not likely to be let them in the city
    • Usually only outsiders who have proved themselves with some mighty deeds are let in
  • While still in Dahn Gohben, call from Pah'zel on the silver orb
    • New offer: info on the holder(s) of green and black in return for the location of the red
    • After much deliberation, no deal :(
  • En route to Bahl Lok, encounter with two colossal giant scorpions! (28 Blessing Moon)
    • Osmul is nearly peenched in half
    • Sil beheads it truly majestically
    • Beat down, back to the lairs, find some treasure
    • Sil finds a signet ring with an unfamiliar crest; and a iron circlet
  • Arrive at Bahl Lok: the crest on the gate is the one on the ring
    • Dwarves reluctant to let the party in, as it's almost dark
    • A blahbomb opens the door though to the outer-city-shanty-town
    • Party is camping in Osmul's Lordly Pavilion at this point luckily
  • Call from Zahn on the blue orb with another deal for Sil/the party
    • What's shakin, toots? BLUSHBOMB
    • Exchange of Nula's corpse in return for Charra's remains
    • One day to deliberate, please; sure, no prob
  • In morning (29 Blessing Moon), dwarves want them to get out, but the story comes out that the lord's heir had gone off to defeat the scorpions terrorizing the area; that's who the ring and circlet belonged to
    • Lord of the city invites them to guest with them as thanks for destroying scorpions, but is very sad to have lost his daughter
    • Lorekeeper of town tells them how to get to Fellithysaar's lair (The Brass) and also says that he does not like people to fly to his lair; if you're going to visit him, earn it by climbing the peak (a steep base and then 200 ft straight up)
    • Lord will give you gear and pitons
  • Worked out deal with guards and temple of Moradin to receive Nula's body
    • Call Zahn back to make final arrangements, zone of truth, geas from PAZUZU, yeah you probably won't be able to break that one easily
  • On to Fellithysaar's lair!
    • 4 days travel to the base of the spire; leave 30 Blessing, arrive 2 Lightning
    • Osmul reveals his multiple identity as TERIS!
  • Arduous climbing montage: Vin goes ahead and places pitons, lowers rope
    • A few folks fall: Oraine, roped to Ellowyn; Ezel and Teris, roped to Sil; but eventually all make it to the top
  • Fellithysaar is lounging in the sun, chillaxing and toasting himself
    • STORYTELLING MONTAGE!
    • Entire quest story revealed to Fell; he tells a few war stories, talks about a time when Pevishan were longer lived (and mixed-color); talks about great dragon battles and divvying up the hordes; mentions offhandedly that the Orbs (and The Dragons) were created as part of the great war, with The Dragons to guard them; hopes that once Bahamut is reawakened he will reabsorb them and end the guardianship
    • Well kids I like you and would totally give you the orb, but the totally great protections I put on it are such that you're going to be in for the fight of your life; one that scales itself to the fighters
    • If you die in there, it will bring your bodies out and I'll res you; but you'll never be able to enter it again
    • Oh and Sil, I will need to do a spell on you to protect your bahbees, if you consent. Okay!
  • Rest for the night, then Fell has built up a large fire (morning of 3 Lightning Moon)
    • Strip and hop in Sil! Okay!
    • Casts an aging effect thing
    • Sil lays two eggs, a red and a gold
    • Fell will take care of them until y'all are at least out of the catacombs. Yes, both of them.
