Brain Dump: Ceelie

So let's see...after the whole pyramid fiasco, and rescuing Mikheel and all, and...whoa, sorry. Every time I think about him I have those visions of the Epic Mosquito Battle of Doom. Sorry, I didn't mean to make you dizzy.

So after all that I was sulking around HQ for a while. It was eerily quiet, without D to keep me company. Tara is certainly very sweet and caring and intelligent, but I was starting to get pretty lonely after the long flight and everything. I think she thinks it's a little weird when Zii calls her Pokey, so I try to be nice and think of her as Tara. We sort of hung out for the day and she let me sleep on her pillow so I wasn't too terribly lonely. I was awfully fidgety the next morning too, almost subconsciously keeping up a little perimiter around TOA and maybe even straining to hear further, when all the sudden, I realized...

DIIMAN'S BACK! WOOOOoooooOOOooOOOoooo *RUNRUNRUN* *FLITFLITFLIT* *JUMPJUMP* *POUNCE*

Ahem. Sorry, I was lonely. Didn't mean to make you dizzy.

So, since Zii had given us one of those awesome little Grapha coins again, we decided some of us would go talk to her about what we had seen in the pyramid. We explained a little about where we were and what was going on, and the room we found, and how the room had these pictures and this book, and then Tara asked, "So, why did you decide to stop ruling the world?"

*begin chibi animated clip*

Evil human mob casts aspersions at Others. (You're stupid, and you have a big forehead, and your hair sticks straight up.)

Chibi stones are not cute when hurled at high velocity. (Hey man, you guys are mean! at least the sticks hurt less when you threw them!)

Grand high super president chancellor prime minister empress Grapha appears. (Ridiculous headdress)

Empress Grapha rules over humans and others in a hard-core dictorship. (Now children, settle down or you are going in the naughty corner!)

Yeah right, how often does that work. (Mommy likes big sis better than me! She hates me and never lets me do anything fun! Waaaaaah!)

Marcus Drake appears. (Floating lit lightbulb above his head)

Grapha sees that Marcus Drake is wise, and speaks to him. (My, what a lovely lightbulb you have. Could you tell me about it?)

Marcus Drake proposes TOA as a better governing solution. (What doesn't know them, can't hurt them, right?)

Grapha agrees. (Takes off ridiculous headdress. Stomps it to pieces.)

Marcus Drake founds the Agency. (Lightbulb disappears. Big grin with tooth sparkle. Snaps fingers.)

Zii appears, slurping on a glass of mango iced tea as big as he is. (Wow, where can I get more of this stuff?)

Marcus invites Zii to be leader. (TOA will provide free refills.)

Zii accepts. (o/~ I will do aaaaanythiiing for tea....)

Cuts to the team and Zii singing an awesome j-pop TOA theme song, which sounds oddly reminiscent of Diiman's theme song.

Tee hee. Chibis are funny. I hope I didn't make you dizzy that time.

Right, moving on, apparently, the room and books were left because that funny kind of crystal is the only thing not affected by a Fate Weaver's powers. I think it's really interesting that there's a substance that can block fate weaving. I bet TOA did a lot of research on that. And Grapha sure seems to like surrounding herself with it now. Maybe it's her way of being sort of retired.

So then we headed back out to regular TOA again. We heard that Mikheel was feeling a little better now, and could talk to people. So, we decided to go talk to him too. We wanted to make sure he was okay after all the psionic epic dire mosquitos (Diiman calls them PEDiMs) took over his brain and stuff, and see if he knew any more about what happened.

When we got up to his room, he was still looking and sounding a little woozy from his ordeal, but definately better than before. He thanked us for our help, and began to explain the state of affairs that led up to this cataclysm.

*fade to black*

An overhead map appears, battle sounds echoing behind it. A deep voice begins to speak, slowly and deliberately.

Narrator: "Karnetia was a land torn by war. Political relations with other nations, and even among Karnetian factions, were difficult."

Image of Mikheel shimmers into view over the map. He's standing at a podium, under a spotlight.

Narrator: "But one freedom fighter had a vision. He had a power to sway people to the side of freedom. Mikheel. However, his ability to rally the people's spirits struck fear into the hearts of Karnetia's government."

The map fades, and the image of Mikheel moves to the left. An image of uniformed men plotting around a table appears to the right.

Narrator: "The government made plans to silence this rebel. They thought to crush this freedom force, and with it, the spirits of their subjects."

The uniformed men fade, replaced by a beautiful young woman in a ragged dress, with sad eyes and flowing hair, drifting slowly towards Mikheel. Each is outlined by a spotlight against the black background.

Narrator: "But Mikheel was not just a freedom fighter. He was a man as well, with his own hopes and desires...and his own love. Shaal fought fiercly at his side, believing in his ideals. She knew they would kill him at the first opportunity."

Shaal reaches out to Mikheel, and he reaches out to her. But, they are now moving in opposite directions.

Narrator: "Shaal selflessly created a distraction and helped him to escape from the bitter land of Karnetia."

Mikheel fades from view. Shaal is left drifting across the blackness. Suddenly, the uniformed men reappear, armed -- and Shaal is drifting towards them. She starts drifting faster.

Narrator: "With Mikheel swiftly fleeing from their grasp, the Karnetian officials focused on capturing Shaal. They used Mikheel's lady love to power their terrible Hex Cannon."

The officials capture Shaal's weeping form, and wire her to a gigantic weapon. A map of the world appears in the background. The weapon fires and awesome beam of glowing red hatred arcs across the globe to Africa, striking an icon of Mikheel. A mushroom cloud appears, fades, and the entire image fragments and shatters.

It's so awful and sad! How can people be so mean like that? We felt very bad for Mikheel but didn't really know what to tell him. I really hope we can help him. I think he does like us okay, though he seemed a little confused by me at first. He has some very strong psychic and telepathic abilities, but doesn't seem to be quite sure how to handle them yet. Zii says he can get some good training at TOA that will help him a lot. I sure hope so. Diiman invited him to the party, but I'm not sure that's the best idea, for him to be around such a big group of people. He'll probably talk to Zii about it.

Oh yeah, D's throwing a party. Pretty cool huh? It'll have like everyone at it! They sometimes get a little crazy though, so maybe Tara and I will watch movies upstairs for part of it. The whole team is invited. It might be really interesting for all D's Hollywood friends to meet Li...And then there's that movie. Sly really wants to get that movie rolling, because the execs are aboslutely begging for it. So Diiman is still trying to convince Li that being in a movie will "broaden his horizons" or something. I'm not really sure he'll ever be able to sway Li on that point, but it's sure funny to watch him try.

But, now we also need to figure out what's next, after Diiman's party and meeting with his agent about the movie and all that. Tara said she'll be working on translating Grapha's crystalline book for a while. Vivika wanted to do some research on Mikheel. Lily seemed to have something she was working on for Zii. Once everyone is done with their side issues, maybe we'll go to Karnetia and see if we can find Shaal, and learn more about the hex cannon blast.
