Cihua is the artificially created daughter of two Aztec deities, Quetzalcoatl and Xolotl, and a mortal superheroine. Yeah, rather silly, but they'd just introduced wings as a veteran reward and I wanted something to explain why she had fire and ice powers.

'Cihuacitialin' means "Female Star". Quetzalcoatl was a god of water and was the morning star; Xolotl was a god of fire and the evening star. And... that's basically the character origin in a nutshell.
