You quit your job. You realize your deep-seated fears of being unproductive. You make a cake from a recipe you've found on the internet.

IngredientS:

- 6 tbsp butter

- 1 sprig fresh rosemary

- 1 1/8 cup almond flour

- 1 tsp baking powder

- 1/4 tsp almond extract

- 1/4 tsp salt

- 1/4 cup brown sugar (loosely packed)

- 2 eggs

- 1-2 large apples, sliced up some

- creem freeszh

Preheat yon trusty oven to 350. Lube up a 7-inch cake springform.

Make ye olde brown'd butter: Put da butta and rosemary in a saucepan and crank it up to medium heat. Watch the butter melt, foam a lot, and then settle/brown, swirly occasionally. Should take between 2-4 min, but as soon as you see some brown speckles at the bottom of the pan and it starts smelling good 'n nutty, take it off the burner and let it cool.

Make the cake batter: Mix almond flour, baking powder, salt, brown sugar, almond extract, eggs in a bowl. Fold in the cooled brown butter until it's just combined. It'll be sloppy lookin'. In go the apple slices. Pour it all into the lubed up pan.

Bake for 40 min. Toothpick test works. Cool and do that 90's thing with the powdered sugar on top.
